Here is a character sketch of Cerastes Carnifex, a guy from a story I am working on. I think that he has finally found some clothing that he likes. Cerastes is from an old necromancer family. He's a pretty good guy, also a necromancer like the rest of his family. The Carnifexes have been the stewards of Peralsia, a city inside of a glacier, for the past 400 years. If he bothers to come above ground he generally wears a mask, partly because of cultural superstitions about outsiders seeing a citizen's face, and also to combat snow blindness. Cerastes' mother was in the clothiers guild, and before she died he mastered the buttonhole stitch. He likes to make little felt animals for his small cousin using this all important skill. He also tells me that his favorite food is marzipan, but he hasn't been able to have any in years because of some wars in the southern countries disrupting trade. Some day when I am feeling less terrified of photoshop I may color him.
